In Person: Western Meets Mexican Herbalism — August 16th
Date: Saturday, August 16, 2025
Time: 11:30 am - 1:30 pm MT
Instructor: Sofia Arana-Miranda, Certified Clinical Herbalist
Western Meets Mexican Herbalism is an exploration of the healing traditions that bridge North American Western herbalism and the rich, ancestral practices of Traditional Mexican Medicine. We’ll dive into common and uncommon herbs, their cultural significance, and how traditional curanderismo and modern clinical approaches differ — and even how they can complement one another. Students will gain an understanding of both systems while honoring the deep roots of Mexican healing traditions.
Participants will also craft a traditional Agua Florida — a fragrant herbal water used for cleansing, blessing, and energetic protection — blending aromatic herbs and flowers into a preparation they can take home for personal ritual and healing use.
Additional Info: Materials are included in the class cost.
Maximum Number of Participants: 12
Class registration closes at 4:00 pm MT on Friday for weekend classes.
