Activated Charcoal & Clay Soap Recipe

16 oz. Melt & Pour Soap Base, Organic Glycerin, Honey or Goat’s Milk
1 Tablespoon Activated Charcoal powder
30-40 drops Fir Balsam or Peppermint essential oil

Place the soap base, cut into pieces, in a heat proof container and set it in a double boiler filled with steaming water, over medium-high heat. When the soap base is melted, add the activated charcoal.  Stir well, pressing any lumps against the side of the container until the mixture is evenly combined.  Take off the heat, add the Essential oil, stir well and pour into your soap mold(s).  Place mold in the freezer for 4 hours or leave on the counter overnight. Gently un-mold your soap. Makes 8-12 Individual Soaps depending on the size and shape of your soap mold.

Citrus Bath Fizzies

These bath treats can easily be made at home. Soothing, moisturizing and luxurious, the bath fizzies are an uplifting and fun experience for the whole family.

1 cup Baking soda
½ cup Citric acid
½ cup Epsom salts
2 Tablespoons finely chopped Cocoa Butter
2 Tablespoons finely crushed Calendula Flowers
40 drops Tangerine essential oil
4 oz Witch hazel with a spritzer top

In a medium bowl, whisk together the baking soda, citric acid, salt, finely chopped cocoa butter and calendula flowers, then add the essential oils and mix well. Spray witch hazel onto the powder and toss with your hands. Continue spraying and tossing until the mixture starts to stick together like wet sand. Firmly pack into soap molds, and then tip the molds over to slide out the bath fizzy. Set them on a plate to dry for 24 hours. Depending on the size of your molds this recipe can make 3-5.
