Rebecca's News December 2017
Dear Lovely Community,
The season is upon us with bustle and cheer. We heartily wish you Happy, Healthy Holidays and a Fabulous New Year!
Some months ago, we installed our newest employee, "Chippy the Chip Reader". Now, our first born, "Reggie" the checkout register, has a new sibling, "Tilly" the till. That's right, our brick and mortar store now has two registers! We know the holidays can be very busy and we aspire to make your Rebecca's checkout experience as easy and fluid as possible.
You'll see a change in our Holiday Gift Bags this year. I'm happy to announce that we've moved from organza bags to cotton and burlap. This feels more in line with our style and mission. I love the look and feel of this new packaging and hope you delight in them as well.

16 oz. Melt & Pour Soap Base, Organic Glycerin, Honey or Goat’s Milk
1 Tablespoon Activated Charcoal powder
30-40 drops Fir Balsam or Peppermint essential oil
Place the soap base, cut into pieces, in a heat proof container and set it in a double boiler filled with steaming water, over medium-high heat. When the soap base is melted, add the activated charcoal. Stir well, pressing any lumps against the side of the container until the mixture is evenly combined. Take off the heat, add the Essential oil, stir well and pour into your soap mold(s). Place mold in the freezer for 4 hours or leave on the counter overnight. Gently un-mold your soap. Makes 8-12 Individual Soaps depending on the size and shape of your soap mold.

Immune Support Reishi Blend
Reishi, also known as the immortality tonic, is a bitter tonic with researched beneficial effects for the whole body including the immune system, heart, lungs and liver.
1 oz. Reishi slices
1 oz. Elderberry
.30 oz. Cinnamon sticks
.50 oz. Rosehips
Place all the herbs in a crockpot or saucepan with 10 cups water. Place the lid on and turn crockpot or heat onto the lowest temperature for 8-10 hours. Check the water level after 4 hours and add enough water to refill as needed. After allotted time, strain the herbs through a fine mesh kitchen strainer. Sip 1-2 cups a day until tea is gone. The strained can be stored in the refrigerator for 7 to 10 days. Alternately, you can freeze the tea in ice cube trays and add to other beverages.
