Herbalism is alive and well in our kitchens, whether you consider yourself an Herbalist or not. The herbs and spices in our pantries not only create delicious meals but support our well-being daily, as they have across the world for thousands of years. This medicine making workshop introduces a plethora of herbal preparations to creatively weave the immense nourishment the plants offer into all our meals.

Through our discussion you will find that these herbs give great support to our immune system, and we don't have to compromise on taste as we navigate cold and flu season. Leaning into the flavors and magic of Autumn, participants will make and take home the following potions:

  • Fire Cider (to be left infusing after class)
  • Herbal infused olive oil (to be left infusing after class)
  • Herb infused honey for sickness and sore throat support
  • Chai Spiced Syrup with medicinal mushrooms and Elderberry
  • Herbal Finishing Salt

You will leave class feeling confident in recreating these recipes but more importantly, seeing all the ways that these forms of medicine (vinegars, syrups etc.) can be used in different ways with different plants to care for yourself and your loved ones.

Additional Info: Materials and handouts are included in the class cost.

Maximum Number of Participants: 10
Class registration closes at 4:00 pm MST on Friday for weekend classes.
