Drop one into a hot bath and watch it fizz and bubble as the aroma fills the air.

Ingredients

1 cup Baking Soda
½ cup Citric Acid
½ cup Epsom Salts
2 Tablespoons finely chopped Cocoa Butter
4 oz Witch Hazel with spray top
Additional ingredients (see specific recipes below)
30-40 drops essential oil
Soap Mold (we used a small muffin/cupcake tin instead

Depending on the size of the soap mold, this recipe can make 3-5 bath fizzies. 


Directions

Step 1

Whisk together the baking soda, citric acid, Epsom salt, cocoa butter and additional ingredients, then add essential oil and mix well. 

Step 2

Spray witch hazel onto the powder and toss with your hands. Continue spraying and tossing until the mixture starts to stick together. The blend should be just moist enough to hold when pressed together with your hands, be careful not to add too much moisture. 

Step 3

Firmly pack into soap molds, let set for 15-20 minutes. 

Step 4

Tip the molds over to slide out the bath fizzy. Set them on a plate to dry for 24 hours. 


Bath Fizzy Options

Chocolate Citrus Bath Fizzy

Follow directions above, add 2 Tablespoons finely chopped Calendula flowers when whisking together ingredients and 40 drops Tangerine essential oil.

Frosted Rose Bath Fizzy

Follow directions above, add 2 Tablespoons Juniper berries and 40 drops Forest Blend essential oil.

Forest Bath Fizzy

Follow directions above, add 3 Tablespoons Red Rose petals and 15 drops Geranium essential oil and 20 drops Rosehip seed CO2. You can also replace Witch Hazel with Rose hydrosol for this bath fizzy recipe.
