Regular price $ 30.00

Date: Sunday, August 17, 2025
Time: 10:00 am - 12:00 pm MT
Instructor: Sami Adler, Nature-Based Creative & Stephanie Selz, Certified Clinical Herbalist

Join us for a creative and calming afternoon as we explore the art of flower pressing and create unique nature-inspired artworks celebrating the blooms of August. We’ll also explore the colors plants can offer—through both their form and their pigments.

After a welcoming cup of tea at the shop, we’ll set off on a leisurely stroll through some of Boulder’s most colorful neighborhoods. We’ll take in the late-summer flora and collect any fallen* petals, leaves, stems, berries, grasses, or any other natural materials that catch our eye.

Back at the shop, you’ll learn the basics of flower pressing and pigmentation through a brief demonstration. You’ll then have time to press your own plant materials! We’ll also have a few bouquets of summer blooms like Marigolds, Zinnias, Cosmos, and more from a local garden available for experimenting with natural color and pressing. Art materials like hot glue, botanical-dyed yarns, and some unique fabrics will also be available to help you bring your piece to life.

Whether you choose to keep things simple or create a more intricate collage, you’ll leave with a one-of-a-kind piece inspired by the season.

*We will not be foraging, only collecting what has fallen. But don’t worry, there is much beauty to be explored on the ground!
