Perfume blending is an alchemical art developed in ancient Egypt, refined by the Romans, and popularized by the French. From queens to beggars, populations around the world have adorned themselves with everything from precious rose oil to animal musk. In this interactive class, we will learn about plants and resins used for oil, water, and alcohol-based perfumes, colognes, and aromatic oils. We’ll build a foundation of understanding about base, middle, and top notes, and then explore how to blend pure essential oils to create a harmonious scent that can bring emotional and spiritual balance. Participants will leave with two roll-on perfume blends of their own creation that can be gifted or enjoyed personally.
Please note: materials are included in the class cost.
