Do you yearn for more sustained energy, a robust immune system and/or deep, rejuvenating sleep? "Adaptogen" is a term coined by Russian scientists in the 1960's, and refers to botanicals that have been used for centuries to increase vitality and the capacity to endure life's stressors. In this class we will discuss the many detrimental effects of stress on health, and explore the efficacy and safety of five well-known adaptogens and how to best use them for optimal health and longevity. This is a lecture style class that will include sampling a variety of different medicines prepared from the five herbs.
