Laura Elvira DiNardo

Laura Elvira DiNardo is a certified herbalist and was a staff herbalist at Rebecca's from November 2005 until June 2008.

Laura owns and operates Strega Gardens and Herbal Care in Boulder, Colorado. She specializes in women's health and, as part of her practice, offers the Mayan uterine massage that she studied in Belize under Ms. Beatrice Waight, an internationally known Mayan healer. Laura also specializes in couples' fertility issues.

Laura has been studying alternative medicine since 1988. From 1995 to 1997, she studied Traditional Chinese Medicine under Dr. Gu Ding at the Shen Nong Center in Philadelphia. Laura moved to Boulder in 1999 to continue her education. She became a certified herbalist after two years of study at the Rocky Mountain Center for Botanical Studies. Laura also apprenticed with Linda White Dove, formulator for White Dove Herbals.

For the past four years, Laura has been apprenticing under Claudia Rosewolf, a healer in the Native American tradition. This has led Laura to focus on aspects of herbalism such as energy work, chakra clearing, plant spirit medicine, and facilitating shamanic journeying. Laura teaches classes at Rebecca's Herbal Apothecary and Supply and in her private practice. Her classes include New Moon women's gatherings, how to perform menarche ceremonies, dream pillow making, teaching young girls about herbs for women, and the therapeutic uses of stones. Laura likes to work in the Wise Woman tradition, a gentle approach to health care that values intuition and listening to your own body to facilitate healing. She is committed to helping women become re-empowered in their own lives.
