New Ayurvedic Herb Section

We've made an effort to bring in the most frequently-requested Ayurvedic herbs. Right now, we are stocking Amalaki fruit powder, Arjuna Bark powder, Asafoetida. Ashwagandha, Bacopa, Boswellia, Brahmi Leaf, Dashamula, Manjista Root, Shardunika Leaf. Shatavari, Sitopaladi, Tricatu powder formula, Turmeric, and Triphala. We also have a selection of Ayurvedic Massage Oils by Banyan Botanicals.

We want to continue to develop our Ayurvedic selection, so if you don't see something you want, just ask!

Loose-leaf Tea Brewer

We have a new loose-leaf tea brewer that makes tea-brewing very easy and convenient.

Add your herbs and hot water to the brewer.

Let steep.

Simply place the brewer on top of your cup for instant straining directly into your cup.

Relax and enjoy! This is the easiest cup of tea you've ever brewed!

Melt-and-Pour Soap

Soap-making was never this easy! Try our all-natural melt and pour soap. Simply melt the soup in the microwave or on the stove-top, add your favorite essential oils, and pour into a mold. When it solidifies, it will pop right out of the mold.

We carry Clear Glycerine and Goat's Milk Glycerine varieties. The soaps contain 20% added glycerine. The ingredients are:

  • Saponified Vegetable oils mainly Coconut Oil
  • Glycerine (kosher, of vegetable origin)
  • Purified Water, Sorbitol (from berries, moisturizer)
  • Sorbitan oleate (emulsifier)
  • Soybean protein (conditioner)
  • Goat's milk variety only: Goat's Milk
  • Goat's milk variety only: Titanium Dioxide (mineral whitener used in opaque soaps)
We also have a huge selection of fun soap molds to choose fun! Make some handmade gifts for the holidays!

New Herbal Book

Released earlier this year, "The Desktop Guide to Herbal Medicine" is a must-have resource for any herbal library. Written by renowned local herbalist, Brigitte Mars, it offers a concise, comprehensive guide to the vast array of medicinal herbs that are now commonly available in North America. Drawing on healing traditions from around the world, Brigitte presents detailed monographs of more than 180 herbs, from the commonplace tea and raspberry to the weedy dandelion and goldenrod to the more exotic ho shou wu and zeodary. The monographs give a broad range of information about the herbs, including their physiological effects, constituents, energetics, historical and current medicinal uses, other common uses, edible properties, natural range, and contraindications.

Mulling Spices

Just in time for the Holidays, we have packaged some delicious and aromatic mulling spices. Use them to mull ciders, wines or brandies.

That's it for this newsletter. Our next holiday newsletter will include more new products and gift ideas! Have a happy and healthy Thanksgiving.
