Mother's Day Girlcott

Mother's Acting Up will be sponsoring a Mother's Day Girlcott at Rebecca's Herbal Apothecary on Saturday, May 3. During a Girlcott, MAU encourages participants to support local businesses that provide fair trade, organic or local gifts for Mother's Day. A Girlcott is the opposite of a boycott, in that it encourages people to shop at responsible stores, rather than avoid irresponsible ones. But, like a boycott, a Girlcott uses economic strength to create change. Rebecca's has all types of gifts ready for the Mother's Day Girlcott, so make sure you stop by on Saturday, May 3. Rebecca will donate 10% of her proceeds that day to MAU, and MAU representatives will be at the store from noon until 2pm with free calendars and other special treats! Mother's Acting Up is a movement of mothers who publicly and passionately advocate for the world's children. MAU will be having more actions surrounding Mother's Day, so be sure to check their websites for the latest information and other Girlcotts. Mother's Day is Sunday, May 11.

New Lip Balms

Rebecca just concocted a fresh batch of her amazing lip balms. In addition to Rebecca's lavender/mint and chamomile/calendula lip balms, she created some new blends with a freshly-pressed St. John's Wort infused oil that we know you will love: St. John's/lemon balm and St. John's/lemon balm/chamomile lip balms.
