Kate Briggs
The lush green beauty of the Pacific Northwest provided Kate with the perfect childhood stomping grounds for endless exploration. Preferring to get the hands and feet dirty close to the ground amongst the plants instilled a curiosity in biology and botany in her.
Thinking about becoming a doctor, Kate pursued a pre-medical degree only to be disappointed to discover it lacked connection with the outdoor plant world that cultivated the career interest in the first place. Kate reconnected with her plant allies studying herbal sciences at Bastyr University in Seattle, realizing the immense medicinal power they encompass. Kate graduated from Bastyr University with a Bachelor of Science in Herbal Sciences in 2012 and continues learning herbal wisdom at the Colorado School of Medical Herbalism in Boulder.
As an herbalist at Rebecca's Apothecary, Kate shares her own wisdom and knowledge of botanical medicine for the greater community as a way to connect with nature, the body and self, and personal wellbeing.
