Her current joy comes from helping people empower themselves by improving their health, being surrounded by the amazing Colorado Mountains and calling Boulder her home.
Liz Holtman
As a child exploring the forest of northern Connecticut, Liz Holtman was always inspired by nature. She discovered her calling was centered on herbs and community during the time she worked on a lavender farm in Cape Cod, Massachusetts from 2002-2006. After moving to Montana in 2006, she expanded her relationship with plants and apprenticed for two years at Hill Botanical with herbalist Kris Hill. During that time, Liz acquired a great deal of medicine making experience. In 2009, she moved to Boulder to pursue this passion even deeper and began school at the North American Institute of Medical Herbalism. She is in her second year at NAIMH, and is working as a clinician at the school's sliding scale clinic, the Evergreen Center.
Liz is continually grateful to have the opportunity to work in the community connecting people and plants. She believes that the combination of herbs, diet, and lifestyle has a profound ability to create a positive change in one's well being. Through her own experiences, Liz has become passionate about women's reproductive health. She is inspired to help women strengthen their overall vitality by working with them to reclaim their health through awareness, nutrition, and lifestyle.

Rebecca Luna
Rebecca Luna is the owner and founder of Rebecca's Herbal Apothecary & Supply. She has been steeped in Herbalism since the early 1990's when she attended the Rocky Mountain Center for Botanical Studies,
(RMCBS), where she received both her Herbalist and Clinical Herbalist certifications. She continued her studies through apprenticeships, working with clients, providing post-partum doula care, teaching and simply living with the plants. Her teaching focused primarily on the art of Botanical Medicine Making.
She was a core faculty member at RMCBS, and later went on to teach at Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington. Though Rebecca loves teaching, her primary dream was to have a little herb shop, a place where herbalists can work and the community can have access to whole botanical medicines. Now that the shop has started to come into it's own, Rebecca has found her bliss. She is thankful everyday for the plants and people she gets to work with, for the wonderful community that walks in the door, and for her family that has supported her every step of the way.
Lelia Lyon
Lelia came to Rebecca's in the fall of 2009. She came in to buy herbs for throat syrup and walked out with a job opportunity. Previously she had been employed at a local chain of health food stores as an in-store nutritionist, but missed the enjoyment that working with herbs gave. Her interest in herbs and medicine making were cultivated at a young age by her family, and supported by classes given by herbalists in the community. She was certified as an Herbalist through the Rocky Mountain Center of Botanical Studies in 2002 and later received her certification as a Nutritional Consultant. In clinic work she focuses on helping the people she works with to find optimal health, raise their vitality and live their best life.
Currently Lelia works as an Herbalist, class instructor, and helps in writing the monthly newsletter here at the shop. She adores making body care products with herbs and essential oils and shares her enthusiasm with anyone willing to listen. Lelia is so grateful for the opportunity to work in a nurturing and fun environment.
Tzuria Malpica
Tzuria Malpica is currently a student of the North American Institute of Medical Herbalism. She delights in learning about the medicine of plants, how to work with people and the process of healing. Her studies will lead to a certification as a Clinical Herbalist and prepare her for a long career as a practitioner of natural medicine. Tzuria began as an apprentice here at Rebecca's Apothecary in 2009 and graduated from New Vista High School in 2010. As an employee, she takes pride in being part of the medicine making team. Her curiosity and love for plants and natural medicine began at a very young age and was fueled by her mother's strong belief in herbal medicine. Tzuria was exposed to various healing modalities and met many practitioners who have shared their knowledge in the healing arts with her. From there her curiosity grew into passion and the desire to learn. Tzuria now looks forward to the many, many years of learning and growth ahead and is excited to have found the healer's path.
Corrie Snyder
Corrie Snyder works as an herbalist at Rebecca's Apothecary. She is a certified herbalist, nutritionist, and yoga teacher. She began her herbal education in 2006 at the California School of Herbal Studies in Sonoma County, CA where she was immersed in plant spirit medicine. She continued along the herbal path at the North American Institute of Medical Herbalism. She also received her Bachelor of Science in 2003 in Human Development and Family Studies from Colorado State University.
Corrie believes that physical and emotional malady stems from a disharmony of the body-mind-spirit connection. She uses herbal therapeutics, flower essences, nutrition, and lifestyle education in her private practice in order to increase vitality so the being can maintain health and harmony. She is humbled and delighted to have the opportunity to work daily with both plants and people - her two greatest loves.
Lauren Stauber
Lauren Stauber is a certified clinical herbalist and nutritionist, a bodyworker, a weaver of songs, and a devoted mom. She joined the family at Rebecca's in January 2011, and is honored to help support, nourish and delight people with herbs and other earth medicines. Hailing from New York City, Lauren came to herbalism through a love of nature that took root in childhood and blossomed among the skyscrapers and asphalt. In 2003, after 35 years in "the city", she transplanted herself to Boulder, seeking teachers and more time with her hands in the dirt. In 2004, she attended her first herbalism course with Brigitte Mars, going on to complete a two-year training with Paul Bergner and faculty at the North American Institute of Medical Herbalism. She continues her studies with various teachers and mentors, falling more deeply in love with this path every day. Lauren is particularly interested in the subtle energies of plants (and people) and how plant medicines can help us to integrate the physical and non-physical aspects of our being, so that we come to experience ourselves as more connected and whole.
