Subtle Reddish Hue

My hair is naturally a dirty blonde with auburn undertones especially in the summer. I've used henna in years past to go completely redheaded, but I wanted something a bit more subtle. I've been using this mixture since last June and I reapply every few months whenever I notice it starting to fade. I brew some of the sweet love tea (also from Rebecca's) and mix it with a few drops of lavender essential oil and some apple cider vinegar. I specifically wanted more reddish hues, and there are rose petals and cinnamon in the tea. I let it sit overnight in the bowl for 4 hours and then on my head overnight. For the first application I put vasaline/coconut oil on my skin to prevent stains. The last few times I haven't, and I don't think it stains skin noticeably. I thought only I would see the subtle change to my hair, but friends kept asking if I was getting more sunshine or a new haircut.. My hair is wavy/curly and this mix hasn't affected that. My hair does seem stronger and not as easy to break. I would probably call this a strawberry/copper/reddish rather than just a blonde (but it could be from my natural reddish tones/the tea mixture) I'm very happy with it and recommend this blonde henna to someone wanting to experiment bringing their hair one or two shades towards red without it being a major change.
