Making Herbal Infused Oils & Salves

Join us to learn how to make therapeutic herbal infused oils and salves. We will go over the different techniques for making herbal infused oils, the therapeutic properties of different herbs and why you would choose them for your oil and how to turn your finished infused oil into a salve. Participants will leave with samples of products made in class.

Herbal Tea Blending

Herbal Teas are a wonderful and tasty way to use herbs medicinally or for pure enjoyment! In this class we will explore the basics of tea blending. We will go over the taste, energetics, and properties of different herbs and discuss how to pair them to make the perfect tea for your needs. Participants will spend some time formulating and making a tea to take home and enjoy.

Naturals Remedies for Healthy Travel

Tinctures demystified! Tinctures are made with alcohol and water to extract the medicinal properties of herbs. They are a wonderful and convenient way of taking herbal medicine. In this informative class we will discuss and demonstrate methods to make fresh and dried plant tinctures. Participants will go home with samples as well as the resources to make their own tinctures at home.

Homemade Summer Skin Care

Join Faith Rodgers in a fun DIY class where you will learn to make various skin care products to protect and soothe your skin in the summertime including herbal sunscreen, deodorant, bug repellent and more!

Spring Herb Walk

Come explore the fresh sprouting plants of spring with two local herbalists on an informative and fun herb walk. Medicinal plants both local and naturalized surround us in every facet of life. We will discuss medicinal properties of plants as well as botanical tools to continue to identify.

Making Herbal First Aid Kits

Be prepared for your favorite outdoor activities with a personalized and homemade herbal first aid kit! This class covers herbal allies used in first aid products and preparations. Participants will take home items to begin a kit as well as information and recipes to personalize and expand.

Hydrosols and Floral Waters

Hydrosols, also known as floral waters, are steam distillations that contain the whole essence of a plant. A wonderful addition to homemade body care products, culinary recipes, skin care, and a great way to reap the benefits of a plentiful herb garden! Participants will learn how to make hydrosols in their very own kitchen, and will leave with a sample from the class.

Creating Sacred Space Through Scent

Mid-Summer Herb Walk

Did you know that Yarrow is an excellent first aid plant and can help to stop nose bleeds? In the prime of summer, join two Colorado natives for an easy hike to learn about local medicinal plants. Together we will visit these marvelous plants so that we can learn about them while in bloom.

*Kid's Herbal Classes Details
Each class will include hands on participation and each child will go home with a remedy we make together. Classes are geared for children ages 6-12, but all ages over 4 are welcome to participate. Parents are encouraged to stay with children under 6, although parent participation is not required. Hot water and an electric stove will be used during class. Classes are limited to 10 children.

Registration and Payment
We recommend early registration. Payment for classes is made by cash or check payable to the instructor. Your space in the class is reserved once payment is received. Please be aware that classes fill up quickly, so sign up early. If you are not able to come by the shop with payment, you may send in a check by mail to:

Cancellation Policy
Refunds will only be given if you cancel your class at least 24 hours before the class begins.

All classes are held at the shop unless otherwise noted in class description. Rebecca's Herbal Apothecary & Supply is located at 1227 Spruce St. in downtown Boulder, Colorado. Between 13th Street & Broadway on Spruce Street, next to the Hotel Boulderado.
